Warner Brothers have released a series of detailed e-books with all the film trivia and knowledge fans could want about their favourite films. Could the same logic be applied to games, to enhance the gamers fans experience? Read on for more information on the film version first…

Warner Brothers has released a series of e-books of enhanced film scripts. This provision has been made in 3 digital bookstores including Apple’s iBookstore, Barnes & Noble’s Nook and Amazon’s Kindle. These are selling titles that come from Warner Bros digital publishing initiative. It offers readers shooting scripts that come from their favorite films accompanied by e-book that is highly illustrated. In a statement, Warner Bros said that the e-books would be selling at around £6.49 and would contain rare material from the Corporate Archive. The library contains scripts from films such as Ben-Hur, North by Northwest, Casablanca and An American in Paris.

A spokesman from the company also said that every inside script has a complete shooting script of the film in an e-book which is customisable. This has dozens of chapters which talk more about the script and a detailing of the movie development, candid photos, storyboards, production notes and an image gallery that is interactive. The e-books are not limited to these according to the spokesman and readers have a lot to look forward to if this is anything to go buy. In addition to the mentioned aspects, the e-books also takes the reader into set designs, set stills and movie posters. In essence, these come in handy for film lovers who want all of the films details.

Thomas Gewecke, Warner Bros Digital Distribution president, says that most people are drawn in by movies because of the stories told by movies. He says that with this nee unveiling of e-books, they are giving fans the opportunity to see how the stories unfold in detail and how they are brought together. This is for the purpose of ensuring that such people get to enjoy the films on a brand new level that is not only appealing but satisfying.
